Easter and Update

It was a treat that Abigail had her Aunt Steph and
Uncle Jim visit for a large portion of the weekend.
They enjoyed reading "Never Smile at a Monkey,"
which is the most morbid children's book ever.

Abigail, her mouth full of chocolate I think,
with her Mama and Baba on Easter morning.
The egg loot.

Another Update through Pictures

How are we in the middle of March already?  Not that I mind: January always feels too new and plain after the wonderful holiday season, and February is just cold and uneventful as a month.  But now we are starting to have teases of spring.

Abigail loves doing "art" with me.  Here is a pic of
her as she experimented with her "blue period."

Abigail enjoyed staying home from school to play
in the snow for the (last?) big snow of the year.
You'll have to ask her why her snowman has
arms coming out of his head.

This is how you know when it is time to go inside.

We spent a few different weekends recently dog-sitting
for various dogs.  It has convinced us that we NEED to
get a dog for Abigail.  We have no idea how we
entertain her without a dog.  As soon as we find an 8-12 pound
dog that isn't a big shedder, we'll do it.  Small dogs are SO
hard to find though.  It seems like the shelters are full of big
dogs, which is not a surprise.

The Year of the Snake

I found directions to make a snake for Chinese New Year using old toilet paper tubes, pipe cleaners, and a ribbon for the tongue.  Abigail and I painted it with Tempra paint and she added some glitter glue where appropriate.  I think it looks awesome!

Yup, I missed Christmas

Like everyone else, we were busy through December and then Larry and I got to spend our first ever Christmas together in our own home (instead of being in different places or traveling).  First time.  Ever.  (Well, since we began spending Christmases together 11 years ago!)
You know the story though:  Abigail was adorable, having family here was great, I am still trying to work off the food and M&Ms, Abigail got too many presents, she looks cute in front of a Christmas tree while wearing pajamas, Santa brought her a drum so she could be the Little Drummer Boy...

So I missed all of that in blog form.
But here are some recent pics to make up for it.
Abigail is getting the hang of putting her
own jeans on

On Abigail's first-ever snow-day home
from school, she made a snow-angel.

Abigail's cheeks were the cutest,
brightest red after she came inside after
sled riding on her first-ever snow-day.
Abigail and her Baba got interviewed
by the Korean news station at
the DC area Chinese New Year Festival.

Abigail is sporting her  mangy "Young Cossette"
or "Little Orphan Annie" type hair do
after a round of "GO CRAZY" on the couch.
